Overview
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (BINP) covers an area of 321 km², with diverse altitudes ranging from 1,160m to 2,607m. It was gazetted as a National Park in 1991 and became a UNESCO Natural World Heritage site in 1994. Bwindi is renowned for being the world’s primary destination for tracking mountain gorillas, offering one of the most remarkable wildlife encounters globally.
