Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s most popular and diverse safari destination, located in the western part of the country between Lake George and Lake Edward. Spanning over 1,978 square kilometers, the park boasts a rich variety of habitats, including savannah, wetlands, crater lakes, forests, and volcanic features. This incredible diversity supports an abundance of wildlife — from elephants and buffaloes to the famous tree-climbing lions of Ishasha. The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 600 bird species recorded, making it one of the top birding destinations in Africa.
